Police in Rumphi have arrested a man aged 42 who is believed to have killed his friend over land wrangle.
According to Rumphi police deputy spokesperson Tupeliwe Kabwilo, the man Patrick Kaleya is suspected to have killed a Mr Botha at Katumbi in Rumphi district.
Relatives of Botha said the suspect quarrelled with the victim over a farm. During the quarrel, Kaleya warned Botha that something might happen to him.
On Thursday, Botha’s relatives found him lying outside his house with blood oozing from his head.
Kaleya was arrested and will appear in court soon.
Meanwhile, Police have urged people to settle disagreements without shedding blood.
The suspect Patrick Kaleya comes from Chilikuni Village under Traditional Authority Katumbi in the district.
