ECG stampede: Mboro calms Bushiri

Prophet Paseka Mboro Motsoeneng today visited Prophet Shepherd Bushiri to console him for the stampede at the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church in Pretoria which killed 3 people.

According to a statement circulating on social media, Pastor Mboro who is the founder of the Incredible Happenings said he decided to visit ECG “to console and offer a helping hand to Brother in Christ, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri”.

Prophet Mboro has also appealed to other prophets and religious leaders in South Africa “to support Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, the greater ECG family, particularly the victims and their families in this difficult time”.

The South African Police Service has opened investigation into the death of three congregants who were killed on Friday during a stampede at Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church in Pretoria.

ECG’s legal representative, Terence Baloyi, said the stampede occurred when an unexpected thunderstorm hit Pretoria and caught off-guard the people who assembled at the Tshwane Events Centre show grounds on Friday night for a church service.

Meanwhile, South African Police Service says it is investigating the incident. Bushiri and Mboro were sworn enemies for years before burying the hatchet in May this year.

  1. You need to check how you report. you first say people died in Capetown and there-after you say, people panicked because of a thunderstorm in Pretoria. how can a thunderstorm in Pretoria affect people in Cape Town. FYI the whole incident happened in Pretoria, not Cape Town.
