Prison warder wins K10m in Airtel promotion

A 24-year-old prison warder has won K10 million which is a grand prize in the final draw of the Airtel Bandulo Bandulo Promotion.

The warder Grace Piyasoni works at Maula Prison in Lilongwe.

Speaking with reporters at Airtel Headquarters in Lilongwe, the company’s Marketing Manager Frank Magombo said it has been an exciting journey from the start till the end.

Magombo added that the promotion started with 15 percent of their customers and they managed to reach 50 percent of the subscribers.

“We have seen that we have connected a lot of our customers through this promotion which is also our mission, we are proud that we have managed to reach 28 millionaires and we believe that this promotion has changed a lot lives,” he explained.

He went on to say that the moments they had with the customers such as a refugee in Dzaleka who won K1 million and Rhoda Hara in Blantyre showed that the prizes came in time for the winners.

He also observed  that most of the winners are women. Magombo then asked the customers to continue using bundles to stay connected and enjoy Airtel services.

Bandulo Bandulo promotion started on 27th August and ended on 5th December.
