Speaking after receiving the trophy, coach for CY Sisters Aaron Kamanga said the championship is something his side has been looking to win for years.

“Our opponents Moyale Sisters have won this league several times and I am happy that we have managed to win it this year,” said Kamanga.

Northern Region Women’s Committee general secretary Salakunja Chimanga was happy the league ended without any conflicts.

“This has been a good season and I am sure the league has helped a lot of players as some of them will be identified to play in the national team,” said Chimanga.

National Women’s Football Committee president Severia Chalira was among the delegates who witnessed the prize presentation ceremony.
