The former Nyasa Big Bullets forward has officially been charged by Premier Soccer League (PSL) for spitting at Amazulu FC midfielder Michael Morton during his side’s league encounter at Princess Magogo Stadium last month.
Frank Gabadinho Mhango has been charged with misconduct for the said incident and he is just waiting for a verdict from PSL.
“Mr. Mhango has been charged with misconduct for allegedly offending the dignity of Amazulu FC player, Michael Morton following an alleged spitting incident on 20 September 2017 at Princess Magogo Stadium,” reads a statement from PSL.
The PSL has also charged Morton with misconduct for allegedly offending the dignity of Mhango.
“Mr. Morton has also been charged with misconduct for allegedly offending the dignity of Bidvest Wits FC player Gabadinho Mhango following a further alleged spitting incident on 20 September 2017 at Princess Magogo Stadium,” continued part of the statement.
The duo are expected to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee where the verdict will be released.
After the incident, which was missed by the center referee, Morton head-butted Mhango before being given his marching orders for his action but the Malawian international escaped the wrath of the referee as he continued playing despite his role in the incident.
Amazulu won the match 3-0.
