Listen to people or resign – Malawi’s leader Mutharika told

Leader of People’s Land Organization (PLO) Vincent Wandale has urged President Peter Mutharika to resign if he cannot consider other people’s suggestions on the socio-economic shakeups that have hit the country.

Speaking to the local press, Wandale argued that the current challenges that have hit Malawi need joint efforts and input from well-wishers.

Wandale added that Mutharika has been ignoring to have an audience with opposition parties who were geared to offer solutions on problems in the country.

He further added that the country needs a leader who can listen to the views of citizens in ensuring a better Malawi.

“The best thing is to resign so that we can have someone who can listen to people, these are issues that have rocked the country and there is nothing fictitious about them,” said Wandale.

Mutharika is on record to have pleaded for solutions that can change the country to a better nation.

His words came after the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) disclosed that the Mutharika led government continues to ignore suggestions on the problems Malawi is facing.
