Malema FC from Karonga have been crowned the Northern Region FMB under-20 champions after beating Young Heroes of Nkhatabay by a goal to nil.
It was a game to watch and indeed football is coming from young players as both teams played well and also missed a lot of chances.
But it was Malema who found the back of the net after Lusekelo Malema took his chance in the 35th minute of the first half.
Speaking after the match, Malema’s coach Chiukepo Mvula said their hardworking is the secret that has brought them this far.
“Our secret is based on ground work and we advise these players that the only way to win the game is to work hard,” said Mvula.
Following the win, Malema have booked a place to compete at the FMB National finals which will be played on 26th of November in Mzuzu.
Fish Eagles of Mzuzu and Malema are representing Northern Region and they will meet other teams from South and Central regions.
