Blue Eagles run riot over Wizards
Blue Eagles can now afford a smile as they have finished on top of the 2016 Tnm Super League first round following their 6-nil win over Premier Bet Wizards on Wednesday afternoon at Nankhaka stadium.
Despite knocking them out from this year’s Carlsberg Cup last week, the area 30 cops proved too good for the Chilomoni boys as it did not take long after the first whistle for the cops to issue a statement of intent that they want to be crowned this year’s Tnm Super League champions.
Maxwell Salambula scored a hat-trick whereas Stuart Mbunge, Gilbert Chirwa, and Chisomo Chilasa scored a goal each to help the Area 30 Cops beat Peter Mponda’s Wizards 6-nil.
The result means Blue Eagles have finished the first round on position 1 with 32 points and they are followed by Silver Strikers on position 2 with 29 points from 15 Super League matches whereas Mafco fc have finished the first round on position 3 with 28 points.
The area 30 cops have completed the first round with 10 wins whereas they have drawn 3 times and have registered 3 defeats. Silver Strikers have registered 9 wins, 4 defeats and 3 draws in this season’s Tnm Super League first round.
Moyale Barracks are on position 4 with 27 points whereas Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers are tied on 24 points with a game to wrap up their first round games and they are ranked fifth and sixth respectively.
MTV Max Bullets, Dwangwa United, and Karonga United are at the bottom of the table.
