With two of K2B Block’s 2016 releases far from sinking into oblivion, the Lilongwe based group is now working with renowned musician cum producer Janta on a new song.
Ndikukwatire as the song is titled, will be made available to the public on 27th May once the producer finalises all the necessary touches. This will be the group’s third track in the year 2016 which marked their comeback after their 2015 silence.
In an interview with Malawi24, Georgiz who is one of the group’s members confirmed their comeback into the game. He explained their choice of Janta as largely motivated by his style which fits tightly into ndikukwatire.
“This is a payback for being silent last year. We decided to work with Janta because he is good with the type of song we are about to release, plus he is one of the best producers we will be working with this year,” he said.
The Kawale boys have been credited for their creativity in hip hop. Their songs have been carrying a unique touch, differentiating them from others in the game. Every single song they have created so far has been subject to overwhelming response from the audience.
In a move to keep their name clean, Georgiz added that as K2B Block they will not and will never get involved in any form of cold war with fellow artists across the country. He said they consider dissing through music as nothing but a waste of time.
Their three songs, Kawale, and Malonda, including their yet to be released Ndikukwatire, contribute to their album which will be released later this year. This will be the group’s first studio album since getting into the spotlight, two years ago with their banger, Chimidzi swagger.
