The Consumers Association of Malawi (Cama) has asked government to prioritize issues which will benefit poor Malawians in the forthcoming national budget.
Executive Director for Cama John Kapito said government should focus on issues of health, education and agriculture for the benefit of poor Malawians.
“This year’s budget will have a bit of challenges but government should prioritize poor lives so that the lives of people are improved,” said Kapito.
He added that it is unfortunate that government wants to start charging people when they visit public hospitals.
Kapito however said investing in agriculture, education and health will improve the economic status of poor Malawians as well as the country.
