Football fans in the country will now easily identify players as the footballers will now have their names on the back of their jerseys.

Since the introduction of the Premier division in 1986, teams have been playing without player’s names on the back of their jerseys.

But Sulom president Innocent Botomani has hinted that next season every player will have personalised kits.

“Every player must have his own jersey, meaning to say, each and every player will have his name written on his Jersey.

“We have asked all the teams to submit the names of their first 20 players, we were expecting all teams to submit the names of the player before March 20, but we have since extended the date so that all teams should give us the names of their players,” said Botomani

He further stressed the importance of having players’ name written on their Jerseys.

Botomani said: “It is very important because it will make the line-ups to be known easily by the press and the public as well.”
