Newly promoted side Max Bullets says they will not be punching bags in the Super League as they have strengthened so that they should start next season with a bang.
The team’s coach Leo Mpulula made the remarks and added that his team will not be known across the league for being point-droppers.
Mpulula said his side is training hard and their preparations are progressing very well. He also claimed that his players are in good shape and they are ready to surprise teams in the upcoming season.
On player transfers, the coach said he is expecting to sign two players from relegated side Wizards FC and added that they are in advanced with Wizards owner Peter Mponda on the transfer of the players.
Mpulula expressed optimism that the new signings will strengthen his squad as they will help fill gaps which contributed to poor performances in recent seasons.
Max Bullets were promoted to the Super League for the first time since the club’s inception after winning the Southern Region Football Association League.
Next season, they will be using Chiwembe Ground as their home ground for small league games while big games will be played at Kamuzu Stadium.
