One of the country’s sports analysts Enos Chatama has advised Malawi national football team Coach Enerst Mtawali to take Flames’ Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup participation seriously.
Speaking to Malawi24, Chatama also advised the Flames mentor to maintain players.
“He has to treat this competition seriously and try to maintain a lot of players who were already in the team.
“They have to study other teams and play tactical games so that we go through,” said Chatama. Commenting on the Cecafa draw of which Malawi has been drawn into, Chatama said it is a fair draw for the Flames.
“I think we are in a fair group but what matters is how we approach the games,” said Chatama. However, the local analyst advised the whole team to not look down on other teams in the group.
“We have to focus from the first game and we should not underrate the other teams in our group,” advised Chatama.
The Cecafa three times champions, the Flames, have been drawn into group C together with Djibouti, South Sudan, and Sudan.
This year’s Cecafa begins on 21st this month and ends 6th December 2015
