Devotion: Bring out your Solution

Dan 2:48 ISV* “Then the king promoted Daniel to a high position and lavished many great gifts on him, including making him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and chief administrator over the advisors of Babylon.”

Daniel a slave in foreign land had just interpreted the dream of the King Nebuchadnezzar and he earned such a promotion. The King wanted someone to give him a solution to his problem. He had such a terrible dream that he would not sleep for days. Dan 2:1 ISV* “During the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams that troubled him. As a result, he couldn’t sleep.”

He promised death if no solution was given, and rewards to the solution giver.Dan 2:5-6 ISV* “In reply the king told the Chaldeans, “Here is what I have commanded: If you don’t tell me both the dream and its meaning, you’ll be destroyed and your houses will be reduced to rubble. But if you do relate the dream to me as well as its meaning, you’ll receive gifts, rewards, and great honor from me. Therefore reveal the dream to me, along with its meaning.”

It was Daniel who gave the solution by telling both the dream and the interpretation and it earned him an automatic promotion. The solution should address the problem.

Joseph also did the same several years before Daniel. Just as Daniel, Joseph was also in a foreigh land where strangers were despised. A slave in foreign land gave a solution and his solution earned him a promotion(Gen 41:33-40). Joseph gave Pharaoh the interpretation and went ahead to give him a solution that he needed to keep food for the first seven years of pumper harvesr. If he had just interpreted the dreams and ended there, possibly Pharaoh would have taken him back to prison. However because of the solution, he got his immediate freedom and promotion.

In life there are lots of people who know how to point at problems. If you ask them about their company, their church, family, their ministry, country and so on, they will be able to point at numerous problems. However they are not coming forth to give solutions to the problems. Such people can never attain any higher position in life. Dont be one of these. If you want to rise in any society then give solutions.

Dont be ashamed of your solution. Stupid or small as it may look, can bring transformation to many. Facebook founders started small by finding solution to problem of social networking. Today, they are big. That is why if you are invited for any decision making forum, as a Child of God, air out your view. Never think its foolish. The story of a young man in John 6 is amazing. Jesus was looking for food to feed thousands. The Young man was not ashamed to tell his disciples that he had some food. Small as it was, he believes would bring some transformation to many. He knew that it would bring some solution and that is why today we are reading and talking about him.Joh 6:9 KJV “There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?”

Dear father, I thank you for your Word. I declare today that I will give solutions to problems others face in every place. I thank you because of your Holy Spirit who helps me in getting the right solutions everyday of my life. I am a solution giver and will remain a solution giver all days of my life.
