Mangochi Police Station Publicist Amina Tepani Daud identified the Ugandan national as Mwenyi Abdallah who was arrested on Tuesday at Kwisimba Village, Traditional Authority Katuli in the district after being found with a revolver and two pistols without authentic documents.

He added that the officers rushed to the place and arrested him on his way to the Estate’s workshop with a small bag around the waist.
“Upon being quizzed, the suspect narrated that he is a tailor and had just arrived two days earlier in the area with plans of opening a Tailoring School at Kwisimba Trading Centre where he was residing. The explaination prompted the officers to search his house,” she explained.
She went on to say that officers found two sewing machines and two bags in the house. As one of the officers was about to search the bags, Abdallah produced the revolver in order to shoot but was swiftly overpowered by the vigilant officers.
She then said that the officers also found two pistols, 54 live ammunition for the pistol, nine live ammunition for the revolver and Ugandan passport.
