The much anticipated Thumbs Up Southern Region Football League (SRFL) will finally be launched on Sunday at Mulanje Stadium in a colourful fashion.
A football match involving the defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve and Fomo football clubs will mark the launch.
The game will start at 2:30 PM and charges are K500 and K1000 for open and covered stands respectively.
This year, the league is coming to life under the auspices of Rab Processors Limited. The company has pumped in K14 million.
According to Rab, they want to be part of football development in the country. This is why they also support the Malawi national football team.
Patrons will be treated to a bottle of Thumbs Up carbonated drink at the gate. This is meant to give people a taste of the new product.
