As the battle for the championship is getting hotter by each passing week, things might even get better for Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers players as Lube Masters have promised to buy each goal scored by the two teams in every Super League winning match.
Managing Directors for the company made the announcement on Tuesday morning at their offices in Blantyre where they revealed that the concept will run till the end of the season in the remaining league games.
Lube Masters are distributors of BP and Castrol Lubricants in Malawi and the company’s directors are Gift Mkandawire, Abel Chanje, and Chimwemwe Chiwalo.
Speaking on the initiative, Mkandawire said they decided to come up with the concept as one way of encouraging the players to bang in more goals for their respective teams.
“We love sports as such, we came up with a concept to buy every goal scored by Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers in the Super League matches starting from next week.
“We will be only buying goals scored in the winning matches and we have done this in order to encourage the players to bang in more goals for their clubs in the remaining Super League fixtures,” he said.
According to Mkandawire, every goal will be bought at K10,000 each.
With Wanderers in a goal scoring mood, this news will definitely bring more rhythm amongst the players.
Both teams are contenders for the 2016 TNM Super League championship with just four points separating the two Blantyre based giants.
