Crazy enough, not so?. By the time he was winning the US elections Donald Trump was already popular but with an announcement of a new K2000 bank note he has just become more popular.

The Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) this week announced of the new bank note which is slated to start circulating by 19 December 2016.

And they choose to call the bank note 'Chi Trump.,
And they choose to call the bank note ‘Chi Trump.,

But the social media has been awash with a funny nomenclature of the note over the US new leader.

The note is being called ‘Chi Trump’.

“Of course others are calling it Frozy. But Trump is more trending” said a Facebook user on a post in one of the interactive groups on the site.

It was named after Frozy, a Mozambican drink which has hit the Malawi market and as recently banned by the Malawi Bureau of Standards.

The note has since come under fire over the bearing of the face of freedom fighter John Chilembwe and the Malawi University of Science and Technology .

Chilembwe is already on the K500 bank note and people have argued the new bank note should have gone for another person.

According to the RBM, the K2000 note has come about because the current highest note of K1000 has lost value.
