Malawi police officer loses his gun after getting drunk

KCN DemosA Malawi police officer has been robbed off his gun after he had gone asleep having avidly taken beer at Stereo Night Club in Blantyre, Malawi24 has been informed.

According to reports, the unidentified law enforcer was on duty at one of the FDH bosses in the Soche Area on Thursday.

It is said that as the night passed he left just to take a bottle or two at Stereo Night Club.

He according to reports was seen taking a bottle after one another with haste, probably to go back to the place he had gone to guard that night.

But to his surprise when he was waking up after the beer had taken up his whole brains, the gun he had was not in any close range.

He had asked people that were at the location but none said he knew anything of the incident.

Police are yet to comment on the matter.

It is reported that the officer is being kept at Soche Police as a search for the gun has been mounted by police officers in the commercial city.
