Rashid Gaffar blasts Nomads executive for hiring ‘Bullets’ die hards as coaches

Be Forward Trustee Chairman Rashid Gaffar has blasted the main executive committee for hiring Big Bullets die hards Eddington Ng’onamo and Eliya Kananji as coaches for the club.

He was speaking during an indaba with Wanderers supporters at the’ club house on Tuesday afternoon where the supporters committee was summoned by the trustees and the George Chamangwana led executive committee.

The said coaches were fired a fortnight ago following a derby defeat to rivals Bullets in the Super League at Kamuzu Stadium.

However, Gaffar believes that the executive committee made a huge mistake in hiring the two coaches who were once Bullets coaches some time back.

Loudly, he blamed the main executive committee for bringing on board Ng’onamo and Kananji, who, according to him, are Bullets supporters.

“We are not currently doing well in the super League because our executive committee brought on board coaches who are Big Bullets die hards no wonder we are struggling in the top flight. Had it been that the two coaches were Nomads die hards, we should have been somewhere in the standings,” he said.

He also lambasted Yamikani Kaliyapa’ supporters led committee for the ongoing wrangle within the club saying ever since coming on board, they have done nothing apart from pocketing millions of kwachas from the team.

According to information at hand, trustees and main executive committee are planning to remove the entire Kaliyapa committee before the weekend.

The Nomads are on position six with 35 points from 23 games and it will be a miracle if they win this year’s championship.
