Don Bosco Technical College Muslim Students Association has donated assorted items to the children’s ward at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in Lilongwe.

According to Rajab Kazembe who is Publicity Secretary of the association, they preferred to donate items such as soap and clothes at the hospital because they realized that there are some patients at the hospital that are transferred from other hospitals and don’t have relatives nearby.

Kazembe added that there are some patients at this hospital from Karonga, Nkhotakota and even from Kasungu who really need well-wishers’ support.

“We also donated items at the hospital to remind ourselves that no matter how healthy we can be but one day we will also get sick and we will need other people’s help,” Kazembe said.

Kazembe also said that apart from donating things at the hospital the other aim was to clean up the ward but the aim was not accomplished since that time the room was already cleaned up.

Speaking during the donation exercise, Matron of the hospital commended the students for their kind hearts and urged them to keep on helping needy people across the country.

The donation benefited 51 patients in the children’s ward at the hospital.
