Mapopa Msukwa arrested.

Former Malawi National football team player Mapopa Msukwa has been arrested for rape of an 8 year-old girl, who happens to be his step daughter.

Information reaching Malawi24 indicate the innocent girl told his biological father who then reported the abuse to the police.

The law enforcers took the girl to hospital where a medical examination confirmed she had been raped.

Mapopa’s wife has also been arrested for concealing the abuse.

Mapopa and his wife bought the little girl chips to silence her.

As a footballer, Mapopa was one of the best strikers in his prime and he played for some of the country’s big including Escom United, the defunct MDC United and later Azam Tigers. He also played for Mighty Wanderers.
