He is receiving attacks and advices day in day out and a fresh one for Malawi President Peter Mutharika is to go ahead and axe Agriculture Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) top officials.

The call has been made by the Consumer Association of Malawi (CAMA) Executive Director John Kapito.

He told the media at a press conference on Monday it was unfortunate that Mutharika has been mum on the matter, a development the consumer body says looks as if the government is promoting corruption.

Mutharika: Asked to fire ADMARC bosses

Kapito said for Mutharika to just accept that there are some ADMARC top officials who are conniving with vendors to steal maize meant for poor Malawians is not a solution to the hunger situation in the country.

Kapito wondered why the ADMARC top officials are enjoying the fruits of poor Malawians.

“If the President is really serious with corrupt ADMARC top officials he should fire all of them as soon as possible,” said Kapito

Turning to the depreciation of the Kwacha, Kapito said consumers have hard enough of the continued nose diving of the country’s currency.

Kapito said CAMA has launched the ‘Poor Lives Matter’ to act as a mouth piece for venerable people in the country.

Mutharika had over the weekend said that he is wondering why he is being pushed too much saying the woes Malawi is facing are globe and that Malawi is no exception.

His silence on the hunger has also been the recent calls for his resignation by his critics.
