Days after the local transfer market was opened by the Super League of Malawi (Sulom), Silver  Strikers have made their first signings after roping in Levison Maganizo and Brighton Munthali from relegated side Wizards FC.

The Central Bankers have managed to beat Super League champions Big Bullets who were also interested in the services of the duo.

Maganizo, a versatile midfielder, and Munthali, a shot-stopper, have all been called into the Malawi National Team squad by coach Ernest Mtawali and will add value to the Lilongwe based giants’ squad in the upcoming 2016 soccer season.

The former under-20 players have exited Wizards days after two players, Rafique Namwera and Ernest Tambe also left to join Mighty Wanderers.

The Bankers are on a re-building exercise following a barren 2015 soccer season in which they sold more than five key players to Mozambican sides.

However, despite recruiting the duo, the area 47 giants are likely to lose some of their key players again this season following reports that Lazarus Nyemera is on the verge of joining Mzuni FC, while Ndaziona Chatsalira and Green Harawa are trying their luck in Mozambique.
