Carlsberg Malawi sets new prices for products

Following the depreciation of kwacha in the country Carlsberg Malawi Limited has raised the price of beverages.

The increase is in both alcoholic and non alcoholic.

According to Carlsberg Malawi Marketing officials the rise is between 12 percent to 18 percent.

The two litres Sobo Squash has jumped from Mk1, 200 to Mk1,500 while the 300ml Carlsberg Green has been raised from Mk 400 to Mk450.

Minerals like fanta, Sprite and Cocacola are going at Mk200 from Mk 140.

Carlsberg official added that the rise is aimed to suit with the current situation the country is experiencing.

They cited the kwacha depreciation has hit hard on the companies cost which includes production and price for raw materials.

The rise has also came at a time soft mineral are scarce on the market despite being on high demand due to the season.
