Malawi national football team  head coach Ernest Mtawali has released a final 20 man squad for 2018 FIFA World Cup preliminary first-leg qualifier against Tanzania on Wednesday next week at Benjamin Mukapa National Stadium.

The mentor has dropped four players who were part of the squad that travelled to Swaziland for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier which ended 2-2.

Richard Chipuwa, Wonder Jeremani, Yamikani Chester and Chikoti Chirwa have been dropped, with Fisd Wizards captain Levison Maganizo and Big Bullets duo of Miracle Gabeya and Dalitso Sailesi being given their first national team call ups.

Surprisingly, Mtawali has re-called Simplex Nthara and Gabadinho Mhango who have been in-active for the past years.

Robert Ng’ambi is also included in the squad despite his public outburst when he was left to warm the bench in Swaziland.

Senior players who were dropped prior to the Swaziland game have not been re-called back.
