Big Bullets’ proposed friendly matches against Tanzania’s Mbeya FC has been postponed to a yet to be announced date.
According to information made available to Malawi24, the two sides were scheduled to play two games in Blantyre and Lilongwe.
However, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) received confirmation letters from officials on Wednesday, making it difficult for the two teams to play the matches on Saturday and Sunday.
“We have postponed the matches to a later date because our counterparts submitted their letters to FAM on Wednesday so it’s impossible to have the games this weekend,” said Bullets General Secretary Kelvin Moyo.
The friendlies were organised by Bullets to keep the team in shape following a three-week break for contributing 8 players to the national team.
But with Malawi exiting Cosafa Castle Cup in group stages, Bullets might be travelling to the North next week for their quarter-final showdown against Kabwafu FC in the Presidential Cup.
