With high esteemed hopes to see their side continue the 1 nil tally ignited in Blantyre on Saturday, Lilongwe fans saw Nyasa Big Bullets fail to extend the same performance as they settled for a goalless draw with Zimbabwe’s Dynamos on Sunday at the Civo Stadium in the capital city.

The win for the Peoples team in Blantyre had been a blossoming one for new mentor Franco Ndawa who only had to make four changes to the side that won in Blantyre unlike the Zimbabwe boys who in the spirit of testing their side ahead of a new season made six alterations.

Bullets missed a seater just five minutes into the game as wonder kid Dalisto Sailesi who is named as Malawi’s Angel Di Maria for his tricks and pace like the Argentine has earned him that tag missed with just inches having been fed by a through ball from the right flank.

This was before he was also denied by the gloves of Dynamos keeper Reynes Ashley making a scintillating save at the far post.

Reynes also made a small touch over the bar to deny Bullets forward Muhamad Suumba from scoring with a powerful header close to recess.

It was then drawn into pacey football with both sides falling to break the deadlock as the visitors effort from forward Kennedy Ulaji only met the safe hands of Bullets man in goals Ernest Kakhobwe.

The Peoples team coughed put out a number of chances but failed to get the most important goals as the impact by substitutes, Diverson Mlozi, Dave Ng’ambi and Miracle Gabeya who replaced all came in for Chiku Kanyenda, Fischer Kondowe and George Nyirenda remained sublime to let the game so open.

Pacey football charactersied the rest of the 45 minutes and at full time the two sides settled for a draw.

Ndawa could not hide his gratitude days after he joined the Peoples team as mentor.

He hailed his charges for putting up a gallant fight but could not rule out a jinx they met in the capital.

Dynamos coach Paulo Silva  in a post match interview said the two games in Malawi have given him lessons and areas the side need to work on ahead of the season in Zimbabwe.

The Malawi Super league champions invited Dynamos to spice up the magnificent launch of Nyasa Big Bullets’ five year sponsorship of half a billion from Nyasa Manufacturing Company.

  33. The team has no strikers. They are all old enough to score. The lone goal in Blantyre was a gifted one from Dynamos defender.
