Ireland-based Malawian gospel artist has announced a switch to secular music after years in the ministry.

The Musician Francis Bogatsu Nyathi has told this publication that his decision is not motivated by any negative forces.

According to the singer, he wants to continue spreading positive message but through different type of music.

“Secular music is not all about bad things, through secular music one can spread the message of love, unity and care to mention but a few. Therefore, my switch to secular music does not mean I have stopped serving God, I just want to serve him through different music,” he said

To mark his journey into secular music, Bagatsu has changed his trademark to Fraxy Bee which happens to be his childhood moniker.

The artist is set release his first single under his new brand late December.

“I will release my maiden single as a secular artist late next month. It is entitled Undikonderanji.”

The impending single will mark his comeback in music after a 5-year hiatus.
