Multichoice Malawi brings exciting World Cup feeling

Multichoice Malawi has lined up a number of campaigns ahead of the forthcoming 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup.

Speaking to the press in Blantyre on Wednesday afternoon, Corporate Affairs Manager of Multichoice Malawi Zena Makunje said the campaigns are aimed at treating their customers to a splendid experience of the global football tourney, among others.

Makunje stressed that the campaigns are targeting both DSTV and GOTV subscribers because they do not want to leave anyone behind.

The drives which are targeting DSTV and GOTV subscribers are Blue Chair and Greatest of all Time (GOAT) respectively.

In the Blue Chair campaign customers and non-customers will be required to scan the QR codes which are on the properties in question using relevant gadgets. The chairs are scattered across the company`s key selling points.

This was launched on 14th October, 2022 and it will remain in trade indefinitely.

In the GOAT campaign, customers from the country`s major cities of Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu will be required to take pictures of five murals which are in each of the said cities. The pictures are supposed to be posted on Facebook with the official campaign hashtag #GOtvCollectGOATS.

Winners will be selected at random using a lottery draw. Prizes include, decoders and subscriptions.

Apart from the promotions which are decorating the World Cup, Makunje added that the company is committed towards promoting Malawi`s film industry through capacity building.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be staged in Qatar, will kick-off on 20th November, 2022.  A total of 64 games will be played from the aforementioned date to 18th December, 2022.
