A 20th person has won K1 million in the ongoing Airtel Bandulo Bandulo promotion.
The 38-year-old winner, Elube Njati, who is from Ntonda in Ntcheu district was unveiled on Thursday at Ntonda market in Ntcheu.
Speaking to reporters after a cheque presentation, Njati was happy that she has won in the ongoing Bandulo Bandulo promotion.
Njati said it was her prayer to at least win something in the promotion and to her excitement she has won big.
She then said she will spend the money for her maize business which she once suspended due to lack of enough capital to proceed.
“I am so happy to have won the money and I am so thankful to Airtel for bringing this promotion. The money will change my family since I was once doing business but I could not continue due to insufficient capital,” Njati said.
Comment on the current progress of the promotion, Airtel’s head of voice, SMS and acquisition Thokozani Kamkondo said that the competition is going on very well.
Kamkondo added that despite the promotion being a gift to their customers, their company has also benefited a lot saying it has boosted their sales.
“Definitely, our sales have benefited from the promotion but this promotion was beyond boosting the sales. We were looking at appreciating the support that we get from our customers that’s why we thought of doing it through bundles which already exists,” Kamkondo said.
The promotion commenced on 15 August this and is expected to be concluded on December 5 when a lucky Airtel customer will walk away with K10 million grand prize.
