Madeira knows nothing about football –Kamwendo

…says a shoe seller has no mandate to get him fired…

The ongoing schoolboy feud between Be Forward Wanderers Team Manager Steve Madeira and midfielder Joseph Kamwendo has plummeted to new levels of petulance after the player branded Madeira a “shoe seller” and “a sympathizer of Nyasa Big Bullets”.

This follows Kamwendo’s public outburst after he was substituted during a league match against Silver Strikers on Saturday.

Immediately after coming off, the former Orlando Pirates and TP Mazembe midfielder went straight to his Team Manager and the two exchanged words in presence of the technical panel and players.

The development forced Wanderers executive committee to slap their veteran midfielder with a four match ban plus a fine of K50, 000 for his unsporting behavior.

After the ban, Kamwendo went on rampage, branding his team manager a “shoe seller” and a sympathizer of Bullets, adding that Madeira knows nothing about football.

“I have played for Pirates, TP Mazembe and in Denmark, do you think Madeira can tell me anything about football? He knows nothing about football and he should leave the game in the hands of those who knows football.

“A shoe seller has no mandate to get me fired. Ask yourself, why did I confront him instead of confronting Bob Mpinganjira who is the coach and the one responsible for making decisions for the team? He has issues with me and that’s why I told him to back off,” he said.

On his part, Madeira said he would rather not comment on the issue at the moment but Malawians will know the truth anytime soon.

Kamwendo was once the team’s captain but he was stripped off following the remarks he made regarding Esau Kanyenda earlier this year.

  1. Kamwendo has not been ticking for the past 5 games and which has contributed to poor team perfomance especially in the Midfield, this means that kamwendo is not supposed to start the game he should be on the bench unless he start ticking.

  2. KAMWENDO,
ITS TIME TO HANG UP THE BOOTS. PLAYING IN SOUTH AFRICA, DENMARK AND DRC IS NOT ENOUGH TO BOAST ABOUT. YOUR TEMPER IS UNDER SCRUTINY. BE A MAN ENOUGH TO FACE SUBSTITUTION AND YOUR LEGS CANNOT CARRY YOU ANY MORE. ASK YOURSELF WHY IN SOUTH AFRICA, DRC AND DENMARK OFFLOADED YOU? ANGER MANAGEMENT IS WAITING FOR YOU MY BOY. START THINKING WHAT NEXT YOU MUST DO COS BY NEXT AT A TIME LIKE THIS YOU WILL BE CLUBLESS. MADEIRA MAY BE SHOE SELLER BUT WATCH THE SPACE OF WHAT HE WILL SAY ABOUT YOUR SUBSTITUTION. I REST MY CASE
