…DPP Govt. is so corrupt

The centre in the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is no longer holding. For those party diehards who thought vice-president Saulos Chilima can be called back to order, they should give up.

Chilima tells APM: You are corrupt

The Vice President has suggested that he may resign from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government due to rampant corruption.

Speaking at a Roman Catholic Church function in Ntchisi, Chilima said there is too much corruption in the current government adding that the vice has reached shameful levels.

He used the Chichewa word ‘band yagawana zida’ which has given Malawians a hint that the vice president want to resign.
“Anthu akuba mubomamu akuyika miyoyo ya anthu ena pa chiophyezo. Zafika poyipa kwambiri ndipo pochititsa manyazi.

Kuba konzunza a Malawi. Izi ndizija mumazapeza kuti band yagawanapo zida chifukwa zanyanya (Thieves in government are threatening lives of people. Malawians are suffering due to corruption. This kind of thievery can force a person resign from government since it is rampant).

Chilima then urged Malawians to stop supporting corrupt leaders who are always thinking of enriching themselves rich leaving lots of Malawians in poverty.

Political analysts have in the past condemned Chilima for taking about political issues in the church.

  6. politics is like a game, there is a reason why one is hired and once the cause is accomplished then your importance ceases,Hon Chilima unluckily falls in this category,it’s clear his demise in Dpp won’t affect anything and that is why Dpp is in search for that combination to APM that will really up its voter Base. Sad to say but Chilimas downfall is forthcoming and he will be forgotten erasing his legacy though it’s not his fault but ours Malawians for accepting political parties to be family entities.I will be a politician in the near future and lucky I because I can see why Chilima fails making a breakthrough and I won’t reveal it because it’s my hidden treasure that will easily afford me sail through in Malawi’s political landscape

  9. The audio is on YouTube, and he condemned corruption happening in all the organizations of Malawi, including government, NGO’s,churches etc.so he didn’t direct his criticism on government alone. Anangoti there’s too much corruption in the country. And didn’t say anything like “I may resign”

  11. the Veep is a good person and leaving a party because it is corrupt is also a good move but as a responsible citizen I believe he is supposed to take an initiative and report the corrupt employees to the ACB,
if our political leader lacks the capacity or is scared to do his job how will I an ordinary citizen report thieves to ACB?he is in govt,he is priveledged to know those messing things,he is a politician,a profession of rock- hearted people. Will it be not okey taking a risk and report those thieves to ACB for the sake of us ordinary people?Rev John Chilembwe took a life costing risk for the sake of us ordinary people,Dr Bakili Muluzi and the late Chakufwa Chihana took life threatening risks for the sake of us ordinary people, why can’t our new politicians follow suit for the sake of us ordinary people?
