…Red Lions to play Wizards
The 2017 Carlsberg Cup Round of 32 national draw took place in Blantyre on Tuesday at Mpira Village with some exciting fixtures.
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Alfred Gunda and Carlsberg Malawi Senior Brands Manager for alcoholics Twikale Chirwa facilitated the draw.
Top 8 teams have avoided each other as they were seeded for the draw. The last 32 has produced only three clashes involving Super League teams.
Two time champions Nyasa Big Bullets have been paired against Civil Sporting Club while Red Lions have been drawn against Premier Bet Wizards to renew their rivalry.
In the other Super League affair, Dwangwa United will take on Mzuni FC.
Defending champions Be Forward Wanderers have been drawn against Fish Eagles while Super League defending champions Kamuzu Barracks will play the winner between Nsundwe United and Mtsiliza United.
Last season’s runners-up Silver Strikers will travel to Blantyre to play Polytechnic FC.
