According to the police, reckless driving is the major reason for road accidents that claim lives of innocent people in the country.

James Kadadzera says passengers need to report reckless drivers.

These remarks have come following several accidents that occurred in the country last weekend and claimed over 10 lives.

National Police spokesperson James Kadadzera has disclosed that these accidents occurred due to excess speeding of the vehicles and he has appealed to passengers that they should be questioning misbehaving drivers.

“As a police we are appealing to passengers that they should be cautioning the drivers when they are misbehaving for example when they are overspeeding,” he said.

Kadadzera added that drinking beer while driving is prohibited in this land and therefore he encouraged passengers that if they fail to caution driver by themselves they should be calling the police for the assistance.

On Monday, Members of Parliament (MPs) observed a minute of silence before starting the proceedings and later they asked the government to put measures in order to reduce occurrences of such accidents.

Meanwhile engineers have expressed their worry over the accidents that are happening on the roads of the country.
