The Blantyre Magistrate Court has again denied bail to Eric Aniva, a Nsanje hyena man who was arrested by the Malawi Police after confessing that he slept with over 100 young girls as sexual cleansing.

Presiding over the case today Senior Resident Magistrate Innocent Nebi said the case has attracted the interest of people hence deny of the bail.

On Wednesday, the case had failed to start due to unavailability of Magistrate Nebi who is presiding over the case as he was reportedly to be in Lilongwe for official duties and the case was adjourned to Thursday.

Aniva is being charged with two counts which are indulging in harmful practices and an attempt to commit the same contrary to the 2012 gender Act.

During the previous seating, the presiding Judge shifted the case from Nsanje Magistrate Court to Blantyre due to transport cost.

Am saying this because I know and understand that before ways of preventing HIV were introduced in Malawi alot of infants were born with the virus and it could also occur that the unfortunate Aniva was infected by one among the 100 girls who was born with the virus.
    Is the govt very sure that among the 100 girls who Aniva slept with were all HIVNegative?
    Something is not very fair here…!
    The law is punishing the innocent..!
