With just a day left before its official release, Sugar Mummy, a track by Malawi’s celebrated hip hop heavyweight Tay Grin which features Zambia’s Roberto and Sonye has already fallen to the vocal cords of youthful Blantyre music lovers who were driven to its taste yesterday.
Tay Grin gave the fans a taste during his performance at the Blantyre Sports Club during the Coca-Cocal Kupha Life events yesterday.
”Let him give you a taste of the Sugar Mummy single which I will premiere on Monday” Host Joy Nathu pushed the Chipapapa hit maker to leash out a shortened taste of the song for just a little over two minutes and it had already fallen in love with the tongues of the fans who sang along.
The track premieres this Monday on Radio 2 FM’s showbiz programme Made on Monday. Tay Grin opened his performances on the day with Dj Khaled’s All I do is Win before fans cheered and pushed him to perform Chipapapa.
Tay Grin also made revelations of the Kanda video, a song which he collaborated with Nigeria’s Orezi and Sonye of the Tsika Msungwana fame.
He said the song will be out soon and will be premiered on Trace TV.
The rapper whose real name is Limbani Kalilani is synonymous with giving it his best when it comes to flying the black, red and green colours higher.
In 2014 he was honoured by BEFFTA with an award for best international African act. He was also ranked on position 82 on the list of influential people by C.Hub magazine last year.
In his music career, he has managed to work with a number of international artists like DJ Waxy from Nigeria, Bufalo Souljah from Zimbabwe, and Gal Level from Namibia.
