Great Angels Choir’s lead vocalist Jessie Zonda and Khumbo Kaliwo who is a band leader of the Rolling Sounds Band on Saturday tied the knot as husband and wife after a long time relationship.
The officiation took place at Kafita CCAP Church while the reception was at Sheaffer Gardens in Lilongwe.
Speaking soon after the wedding, Khumbo said he is the happiest man in the world after marrying Jessy describing her as an understanding woman who deserve the best from him.
“This is a great day I have been waiting for and I’m very excited to take Jessy as my one and only. I am telling you Jessy will not regret for choosing me,” he said
On her part Jessie said Khumbo is a man who knows how to respect a woman and she could not hide her romantic smile.
Some of the notable musicians who were present during the wedding are Favoured Martha, Thoko Katimba, Maggie Mangani, Peter Uyu Mlangeni, Marvellous Deeds, Princess Chitsulo, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel singers, Precious Fazili, Maxwell Olloto and Evance Meleka who did a special song for the couple.
Jessie Zonda comes from Muntchindwe village in the area of Traditional Authority Malanda in Nkhatabay district while Khumbo Kaliwo comes from Cheyeka village in the area of Traditional Authority Chikulamayembe in Rumphi.
