The common talk in the alleys of Blantyre and in every place where the wind blows is of nothing but the heart throbbing public lecture that Malawi’s top notch actor Michael Usi, widely known as Manganya, is set to unleash at Comesa Hall in Blantyre on July 17, 2016.

Free of charge by design and set to be delivered in Manganya’s own unique style, there are indications that the event, just like Manganya’s past arrangements of similar kind, will magnetically pull people of all kinds regardless of age and social status.

Malawians are already prepared to go to the Comesa to witness what is dubbed as ‘Good Governance Lecture’ that will be based on Bible teachings.

Usi: Has a public lecture in the offing.

“I will have to travel all the way to Blantyre to see this rare breed of a man communicate his message to the nation in waiting. I just love him when he does it, with his fingers, writing the truth on the walls of hearts of multitudes seeking the truth in a land bereft of truth,” said Mzuzu based Wilfred Mwafulirwa.

Like many others from far and wide Malawi24 has randomly interviewed, it was all clear that the Manganya fever has once again gripped the nation.

By the time we published the story, there was no comment from the horse’s mouth as repeated efforts to speak to him proved futile.

However, Malawi24 has learnt that all is set for what organizers have termed as the biggest event that Manganya has ever organized.

“Unique red carpet event that will leave onlookers think it is a state function,” said a source.

According to the organizers, spicing the event will be sensational performances by popular Blantyre based Gospel artists, Ethel Kamwendo-Banda, Princess Chitsulo, and King James-Phiri.

The comedian   took the nation by storm in 2013 when he launched a satirical sermon critical of the former President Joyce Banda’s regime who had stooped so low by going places with presidential bounty distributing goods of minimal cost like maize and cows while spending millions of Kwachas of taxpayers’ money financing long convoys and paying public officers fat allowances.

It is feared that as per tradition of that lecture, Manganya will also bay for the political blood of President Peter Mutharika.
