Body parts is hot business in Mangochi? Three arrested for exhuming baby in the district
It can pass as coincidence or as evidence that the business of selling body parts in Mangochi is at its core.
Police in Mangochi district have arrested three men for exhuming a baby’s grave and taking away body parts. The development comes after men were also arrested in the district for possessing human bones.
The three, Mike Peter, 26, Witness M’madi, 20, and Henderson Chiwaya, 24, were arrested after they were found with the baby’s hands.
Confirming the development, Mangochi police spokesperson Rodrick Mayida said the suspects exhumed a baby’s grave at Tsikizi village in the area of Traditional Authority (TA) Nankumba in the district.
The three are yet to appear in court to answer charges of unlawfully obtaining property contrary to section 329 of the Penal Code.
Chiwaya comes from Yale village, Traditional Authority Ganya in Ntcheu district while Peter and M’madi hail from villages that are in the area of Traditional Authority Nankumba in Mangochi district.
