Nyasa Big Bullets supporters went home furious after Muhammad Sulumba’s penalty miss cost the club its first three points of the season.

Bullets drew 0-0 with Moyale Barracks at Kamuzu stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Fresh from scoring against his former employers Mighty Be foward Wanderers in the Chifundo Shield Cup, Sulumba started the match on an impressive note as he had a lot of scoring chances in the opening 20 minutes of the first half but he was denied by Moyale Barracks goal minder Juma Chikwenga.

The striker who was today making his Super League debut for Nyasa Big Bullets had a day to  forget for him as he missed a couple of chances during the game.

Bullets won a penalty after Moyale Barracks defender Blackwell Alisen fouled Bullets forward Mussa Manyenje in the box and Sulumba stepped up to take the penalty but his shot was well saved by Moyale Barracks goal minder Chikwenga who was voted as man of the match.

During the game, Big Bullets fans were left frustrated as they kept on talking about the penalty miss as they kept on saying that Sulumba cost them them much needed three points.

After the game some Bullets supporters invaded the club’s dressing room where they told Sulumba to never repeat the mistake of missing a penalty kick.

Speaking to Malawi24, a Big Bullets fan Charles Lungu said that Mighty Be Forward Wanderers supporters will laugh at them for Sulumba’s penalty miss.

“Wanderers supporters will make fun of Sulumba’s penalty miss, am not happy with what Sulumba has done, he has cost us our first three points of the season,” he said.
