Khili Bwalo, a 29 year-old man has drowned after falling into a well in Nkhotakota district.
According to Gibson Bwalo, the father of the deceased, the man went to drink Kachasu within the village of Tchale.
Due to drunkenness, the deceased lost his way and fell into a one meter well.
Villagers launched a search for the deceased and later found him floating in a deep well within the village.
The incident was reported to Mwansambo police unit and later to Nkhotakota Police Unit.
Officers took the man to Nkhotakota District Hospital where a postmortem revealed that the he died due to suffocation.
The deceased hailed from Tchale village, Traditional Authority Mwansambo in Nkhotakota district.
