Police in Nkhotakota district have arrested George Kadzuwa, 23, for being found in possession of cannabis sativa.
According to Nkhotakota Police Public Relations Officer Sub Inspector Williams Kaponda, the suspect was arrested at Kaombe roadblock in the district.
At the checkpoint, police thoroughly searched a Bus registration number B 1600 belonging to City tours.
In the process, the suspect quickly disembarked from the bus and began running away but the police officers followed and caught him.
They then searched his bag and found Chamba concealed under clothes.
The suspect hails from Laston Village, Traditional Authority Chikowi in Zomba.
He will soon appear in court to answer the charge of illegally possessing illicit drugs.
