medicineNgabu health centre in the district of Chikhwawa district has been shot in the arm following a donation by American Boy Scouts.

The organisation has donated drugs, medical equipment, and assorted items worth K2.2 million to the health facility following a call by health authorities in the district for well-wishers to help improve conditions at the facility.

A representative of the boy scouts Mike Ferris said they were deeply concerned with the situation at the facility for it has been struggling to buy medical drugs.

“We therefore call on Management to work on poor sanitation at the hospital for it not to possess health threats to patients,” Ferris said.

Ferris further asked the government and other well-wishers to improve the condition of Ngabu hospital.

Executive director for Pashello Charitable Trust which works in the district, Felia Malola commended the organisation for supporting the hospital.
