Speaking to Malawi24 on Friday, Flames coach Ernest Mtawali said that his charges are set to attain all maximum points in Guinea before a return leg in Blantyre just four days later.

Mtawali said that the importance of the games have already been underscored and the players he has picked for the trip are aware of what an away win would mean to their qualification race.

”We are ready. At least a draw wouldn’t be bad but our eyes are on amassing the much needed three points and also win here at home to please our fans and also strengthen our qualification hopes.” he said.

The Flames are third in group L with one point at par with Guinea, whereas Zimbabwe lead with four points from two games followed by Swaziland with the same points from the same number of games.

In the squad Mtawali named forwards Chiukepo Msowoya, Gabadinho Mhango, whose heroics have really been missed for the national team as well as Zicco Mkanda and Schumacher Kuwali.

He also roped in Wonderful Jereman at the back with veterans Joseph Kamwendo, Harry Nyirenda and Robert Ng’ambi all making it in the squad.
