Organizers of Malawi’s flagship E-wallet talent show have promised an exciting season for the competition this year.
The project manager for E-wallet Anthony Kafuwa has said the 2015 grand launch is going to be a red carpet event adding that this year’s contestants will give better performances that will match the standard.
“People should expect a red carpet event and VIP experience, high production for television since the venue is purpose built. I can also assure people of better performances that will match this year’s standard from contestants,” said Kafuwa.
Kafuwa also said preparations for the premiere are underway and said one of the improvements people should expect is the judges’ desk that will be of high quality as compared to the past seasons.
“The judges’ desk and backdrop will be of high quality affirming the premier reality TV show and family entertainment event. Preparations are still underway. So far tickets are ready and our team of models will do office knocks selling tickets,” Kafuwa said.
The 2015 season of the E-wallet talent show – which was for the previous two seasons known as Sunbird Search for a Star – will be launched on 24th October at the M-Theatres (formerly cine city cinema) at Chichiri Shopping Mall.
This year’s competition has taken onboard 14 contestants: Two from Mzuzu, three from Lilongwe including a 2013 contestant, Sigele Akim and nine contestants from Blantyre.
