Public sex lands two in hands of police

Malawi Police in the commercial city of Blantyre have arrested a man and a woman for having sex in a vehicle at a public place.

The two, Timothy Bonzo 29 and Liz Banda 23, were caught at it in a Toyota sprinter registration number BP 4009.

Confirming the development to Malawi24, Blantyre Police spokesperson Elizabeth Divala said the incident happened in the early hours of Sunday.

“The two were having sexual intercourse in a vehicle at Zodetsa bottle store around 03:30 hours,” said Divala.

The two are yet to appear before Blantyre magistrate court to answer charges of idle and disorderly contrary to section 180 of the penal code.

Bonzo hails from Mfera village, Tradition Authority (TA) Katunga, Chikwawa district while Banda comes from Chafilama village, TA Juma in Mulanje district.
