The Malawi national football team, the Flames have moved down with just one step on the Fifa ranking and are now on position 100 in the world.

The Flames failed to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

In their recent match, they beat Swaziland 1-nil at home.

They are now on position 27 in the continent from 28 last month.

African champions, Cote d’Ivoire are still the highest ranked team in Africa, moving up three places to the 31st position on the global ranking.

Argentina retains its number one spot with Germany coming in second, Brazil, third and Belgium occupying the fourth position.
