Some concerned Malawians in the name of religious organizations, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), activists, politicians and business people have come together to stage nationwide peaceful street protests from 31st July 2024 in a quest to liberate their country from the shackles of corruption and one-party state dictatorship.
The protests dubbed “To die for the national flag” will start with Blantyre, Zomba, Mangochi and Mzuzu and new dates will be announced for the central region based on the fact that the region was declared a nno-gozone for protesters and activists holding demonstrations.
Announcing the demonstrations through an audio clip circulating in various social media platforms, the Publicity Secretary for patriotic Malawians, Game Changer Mutholo, said President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and his MCP will come to know the real Malawians from the 31st July 2024.
Mutholo said some people are posing to be activists and are spreading messages to disrupt the anticipated demonstrations advising Malawians not to listen to them claiming that they have pocketed K5 million to force the organizers of the 31st July demos to shift the dates.
He said it is sad that while many Malawians are in pain and suffering with the failed leadership, some people are pocketing money to fight against the will of Malawians to stand together to liberate their country from the MCP dictatorship.
The Publicity Secretary has made it clear that the anticipated 31st July 2024 demonstrations have been organized by patriotic Malawians and not Bon Kalindo and the Malawi First, freedom fighters and activists but Malawians as the owners of the country to liberate their country back to democratic government.
“Time has now come for Malawians to die for the national flag after Dr Chilima in Osafooka and Osatopa slogan, if the government wants to kill us, let it do for the entire nation to be MCP,” said Mutholo.
He has appealed to the opposition and independent Members of Parliament to mobilize people from their constituencies to take part in the liberation of their country demonstrations reminding all that in 1994, Malawi made a declaration that never again shall the country go back to a one-party state and dictatorship.
Mutholo has finally appealed to church organizations and religious leaders to stand up and join Malawians while those patriotic Malawians living in the diaspora can support their fellow citizens in the country with whatever they have in a quest to liberate the country from the shackles of MCP dictatorship.
