Mzuni face Beforward Wanderers this afternoon at Kamuzu Stadium but the Northern Region giants are hopeful of a win saying they always do well against the Nomads.
In an interview, Assistant coach for Mzuni fc Etson Kadenge Mwafulirwa said starting with Wanderers will be a good test for his financially struggling team.
“We don’t think of sponsorship. Our aim is to play football with or without sponsorship. Starting away with Wanderers is another good test for us and Nomads always struggle with us,” he said.
After playing Wanderers this afternoon, Mzuni will face Ntopwa on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium.
Their rivals Moyale Barracks will be hosted by Masters Security at Dedza stadium this afternoon before facing Area 30 giants Blue Eagles on Sunday.
Speaking on Friday, team Manager for Moyale Victor Phiri said 2019 is the year for Moyale to perform wonders.
“Let’s forget about the past. This is another year and another season all together, we are here to play wonders both in our away games and home,” said Phiri.
